I’m Craig Newell, president of the board of directors of this organization. Like you, perhaps, I am a small business owner and a franchisee of Jackson Hewitt. A few years back I joined the IAJHF because I wanted as much information and help as I could find in making my tax business a success. This organization provides that and a lot more. Let me tell you just a bit about the IAJHF.
The ultimate goal of the association is the enhancement of franchisee profitability and asset value. All members have access to the ideas and wisdom of many other franchisees who have solved problems and avoided expensive mistakes, and more importantly, are willing to share that information with others… like you!
The exchange of good ideas, the review of best practices, and the critique of problem areas are all handled by the Message Board area of our website. There is no other method available to franchisees under the JH system to exchange ideas and get rapid feedback on breaking issues. Beyond this interactive forum, you can almost always contact other members directly by email or telephone. And you have the opportunity to kick back, relax, and share in the fun at our annual convention held in the spring.
In addition, when you become a member, you will receive legal opinions of the franchise agreement with Jackson Hewitt, Inc. The opinions of our experienced legal counsel will probably be the most cost-effective access you could ever have to experienced, franchise-specific legal advice.
